KAMLOOPS – The final piece of the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team's 2024-25 puzzle is in place as head coach
Chad Jacobson is pleased to announce that Erin Chamble has committed to the 'Pack.
"We are very excited to announce that Erin Chamble will be joining the WolfPack men's basketball program for the 2024-2025 season," said Jacobson. "Erin is a dynamic athlete with the proven ability to score the basketball on all three levels. Not only is he a talented individual player, but more importantly will bring a strong desire to win and a team-first attitude."
From Las Vegas, NV Chamble has previously spent time at a pair of institutions south of the border, suiting up for both Yakima Valley College and Lassen College.
"I chose to join the 'Pack because I've told myself to go where you feel wanted," said Chamble. "Coach Chad made me feel wanted here and that heavily influenced my decision."
Named a Golden Valley All-Conference honourable mention last season with Lassen, the 6-3 guard poured in over 17 points-per-game while shooting over 35 per cent from three-point range. Chamble finished in the top 50 in the entire state of California at the junior college level for points scored.
"I'm the type of player who is calm and collected," said Chamble. "Things slow down for me and I can read the floor a lot easier than others."
Prior to joining Lassen, Chamble spent two years at Yakima Valley where he won an NWAC Championship and played alongside current NBA player Marjon Beauchamp.
"Erin will be a great fit in our locker room and represent WolfPack Athletics, Thompson Rivers University, and the city of Kamloops the right way," said Jacobson.
Chamble, who attended Shadow Ridge High School in Las Vegas, plans on studying computer science at TRU.
