WolfPack Athlete of the Week (Feb. 3, 2025):

Duncan Silversides was Mr. clutch for the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's curling team this past weekend, making important shot after important shot to complement a complete team effort.

The skip from Victoria, B.C. saw his spotlight moment come at the end of the team’s first game - against the top seeded and five-time defending champion Alberta Golden Bears - when he split a tight guard rock and his shooter rock so that they would both end in the house to score the two points needed to win the game. The victory marked the first time that Alberta has lost a conference game since Canada West started hosting curling championships again all the way back in 2019.

TRU started the weekend by going 3-0 to win their pool before defeating the Lethbridge Pronghorns in a playoff game. From there the 'Pack lost to the host Calgary Dinos and eventual champion Regina Cougars to claim conference bronze in the school's first time competing at the CW level since 2016.
