WolfPack Athlete of the Week (Oct. 4, 2022):

Defender Josh Banton led the way this past weekend as the WolfPack men's soccer team continued their outstanding run to start the season that sees them lead the Pacific Division of Canada West soccer.

The arts major from London, ENG played all 180 minutes in a pair of games, tallying an assist and nearly scoring as the the 'Pack defeated the Trinity Western Spartans and tied the Fraser Valley Cascades.

Banton was a force on both ends of the field Friday night, earning an assist on the game-opener as the WolfPack won their program best seventh game of the year in a 2-1 victory over TWU.  On Saturday Banton was again a stalwart on the backline and had the WolfPack's best chance to score but his header was stopped by the Cascades goalie on a 0-0 draw.

Next up for Banton and the 'Pack is a pair of games against an Interior rival when they do battle with the UBC Okanagan Heat in Kelowna.
