WolfPack Athlete of the Week (Aug. 28, 2023):

Fourth-year midfielder Ainsley Grether hit the ground running to begin her 2023 season, tallying the first goal of the WolfPack's season while also controlling the midfield in a pair of games.

The science major from Kamloops had one goal, helped set up another and fired five shots on net in the WolfPack's two games over the weekend.

Grether scored just eight minutes into the game Friday and then played a pivotal role in setting up the second goal of the game as TRU rolled to a 3-1 victory over the MRU Cougars. The veteran Grether had another solid outing on Saturday, but couldn't help the 'Pack complete the six-point weekend after a loss to UVic.

Grether and the 'Pack are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Kelowna to face the UBC Okangan Heat. That game can be watched live on canadawest.tv.
