WolfPack Athlete of the Week (Sept. 12, 2023):
Third-year defender Raiya Rumoi was a standout at both ends of the pitch for TRU this weekend.
The Science major from Courtice, ON played all 180 minutes of the weekend, drew a penalty kick, scored her first goal as a member of the 'Pack and made several key defensive plays.
Rumo was an offensive threat on Friday, drawing the foul that led to TRU's opening goal off of a penalty kick before thundering home a header for her first goal with the 'Pack in a 3-0 win over UNBC. On Saturday Rumo kept her high level of play going, providing outstanding defence as the 'Pack hung tought with the No. 1 ranked UBC Thunderbirds.
Rumo and the 'Pack are back in action this weekend when they travel to Saskatchewan to face the Saskatchewan Huskies and Regina Cougars. Those games can be watched live on canadawest.tv.
