Event Staff Opportunities 2024-25

The WolfPack are in search of workers to fill a variety of positions for the more than 60 games that will be hosted right here in Kamloops.

Looking for everything from security staff to play-by-play commentators and more, these are the perfect jobs for people interested in sport that are available to work primarily on the weekend.
 

Stats Staff (FILLED)

The WolfPack are seeking people with a passion for sports to fill multiple stats positions for the upcoming season. Stats staff will work closely with the manager of marketing and communications to assist with the tracking of game statistics for soccer, basketball, and volleyball games. 

Position Duration:

September 2024 to March 2025

Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a high intensity environment
  • Driven and self motivated
  • In-depth knowledge of soccer, basketball, volleyball a plus
  • Be willing to work weekends and evenings

Webcast Play-by-Play / Colour Commentator (FILLED)

Join one of the top webcasts in all of Canadian university sport. As the voice of the WolfPack online you will provide unbiased coverage, analysis and more for WolfPack soccer, basketball and volleyball games. These roles will work extremely closely with other members of the webcast crew to provide the best broadcast possible.

Position Duration:

September 2024 - March 2025

Qualifications:

  • Available and committed to work Friday/Saturday nights
  • Prior experience in broadcasting a plus
  • Able to work independently in an extremely high-paced environment
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of basketball, soccer or volleyball a must
  • Ability to broadcast responsibly and in a professional manner

Webcast Camera Operator (FILLED)

The WolfPack are seeking dedicated camera operators to capture all of the dynamic action of the 'Pack. Working closely with all members of the webcast crew - specifically the director - camera operators play a key role in one of the top webcasts in Canadian university sport.

Position Duration:

September 2024 to March 2025

Qualifications

  • Available and committed to work Friday/Saturday nights 
  • Physically capable of standing for long durations of time
  • Able to stay on task within large crowds and/or high-intensity situations
  • Attentive and detail-oriented
  • Knowledgeable or willing to learn best camera operator practices for filming soccer, basketball and volleyball

Public Address Announcer (FILLED)

Be the voice of the 'Pack and amp up the crowd as the PA Announcer! Working the crowd to bring cheers and more, this role will play a huge part in building the hype on gameday.

August 2024 - March 2025

 In-Game Host (FILLED)

If you enjoy being the life of the party this is the role for you. The WolfPack in-game host is responsible for engaging the crowd during promotions / running halftime events. Working the crowd to bring cheers and more, this role will play a huge part in building the hype on gameday.                                                  

Position Duration:

September 2024 - March 2025

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, passionate and engaging personality
  • Interact with crowd on the mic during breaks in play
  • Initiates entertainment mini games to pump up crowd
  • Works alongside mascot, DJ and announcer to build energetic atmosphere during games
