Logan is a recent graduate of South Kamloops Secondary and finished his youth soccer career with the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association U-18 Blaze. Both Zimmerman’s are midfielders.
“It is going to be a whole new level compared to last year,” states Keenan. “ With only eight returning players, we are going to have to have a pretty green team and it’s going to take some time for us to get some chemistry together. This will be a stepping stone year and I am hopeful we can make the most of it.”
“It is a bit intimidating but humbling, knowing that I will be a part of a team playing in the highest level of University Soccer, “ says the 5’6” Logan. “ I have watched the WolfPack play college soccer and understand that I will need to quicken my game down. I know what I will have to do with the ball before I receive it. To do that, I will need to simplify my game and sometimes take the safe option.”
The Zimmerman brothers will be enrolling in courses with an eye to achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree at Thompson Rivers. “Being able to go to school in my home town and play high level soccer were the main reasons why I decided to stay here, “ Keenan states.

Both are looking forward to getting involved in the WolfPack’s many community activities including Terry Fox Runs in elementary schools and Wendy’s Dreamlift. “ I think it is great that we will be doing a lot of community work and we will be role models for youngsters,” Keenan adds. “ It reflects well on each and every one of us and as a team. It’ll also help us bond and come together.”

WolfPack head coach John Antulov (Andrew Snucins photo)[/caption]
Says WolfPack head coach John Antulov about his latest signings: On Logan: “ I am very pleased to have another Kamloops product that I believe can develop into a very good CIS player. Although still raw, Logan has the technical ability and speed on the outside wings that can cause concern for defenses in this league. He will have time to learn behind veteran players like Oriol Torres (Barcelona, Spain). He is also very coachable and has an excellent attitude. I look forward to having Logan in our program for years to come.”
As for his brother, Antulov states: “ We have been trying to recruit him for the last couple of years and am happy he has decided to come to school. Keenan is a workhorse in the middle of the park and can develop into a solid holding midfielder going forward. He has the ability to break up plays with his quickness and work rate in the middle of the park. I expect him to challenge some of our current players for time there and look forward to seeing how the competition pans out.”
The WolflPack begin their inaugural CIS training camp August 5th. Their home opener is Friday, September 12 th at Hillside Stadium against the Trinity Western University Spartans.
