MVB sweep Bisons in Manitoba

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's volleyball team are back on the winning track in Canada West play.
The Pack swept a pair of matches this weekend (Jan 25-26) from the University of Manitoba Bisons.  On Saturday, it was a 3-1 decision.
The scores were 25-22,25-20,19-25,25-18.
TRU is now 9-8 on the year while the Bisons fall to 8-11.

SYNOPSIS

The WolfPack were led, like they have been all season by Tim Dobbert. The fifth year outside hitter from Germany had 19 kills in 50 opportunites.
Sam Taylor Parks had 11 kills in 14 chances in the middle.  Anton Napolitano had 46 assists, eight digs and three block assists.
Manitoba was led by Kevin Negus with 13 kills in 32 chances while teammate Dustin Spiring had 12 kills in 32 opportunities.  Dylan Sutherland had 34 assists and 10 digs for the Bisons.

On Match: " We played better tonight and so did Manitoba. We had a solid performance from both Sam and Kyle (Behiels) in the middle. Landon Currie had a great match tonight picking up a lot of important digs. Tim Dobbert and Kyle had a much stronger night service. Overall, a great weekend and gives us a little breathing room in the standings.

The 'Pack will return home to begin a four game home stand. That begins Friday, February 1st on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre when the opposition will be the Brandon University Bobcats.  Game time will be 6:45 pm PDT.
