 SYNOPSIS

The WolfPack opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as Emmanual Aniogbe (3rd year, defender, Mission, BC) blasted down the left side of the park and crossed it where Jan Pirrates Glasmacher (3rd year, defender, Barcelona, Spain) put his head on the ball which beat Heat keeper Nicholas Reitsma (3rd year, Kelowna, BC). It was Glasmacher, the 2018-19 Canada West second team all-stars third goal of the year.

In the 25th minute, TRU got a free kick.  Daniel Sagno (3rd year, forward, Winnipeg, MB) took it from 40 yards out. The ball sailed off a Heat defender and fooled Reitsma as it went left post and in for the own goal

In the 53 rd minute, Sagno wound up getting a red card for a 'violent' confrontation after running into UBCO defender Hamish Walde. The result was Thompson Rivers had to play a man down for the rest of the match.

The Heat got on the board in the 62nd minute as Sam McDonald (3rd year, defender, Kelowna, BC) made a back touch at the left corner of the box for Christian Taylor (4th year, midfield, Courtenay, BC) who launched a high ball over Jackson Gardner (2nd year, keeper, Chilliwack, BC) who went high right side.  Taylor's second goal of the year.

Late in the match both teams had chances but both keepers were up to the task. The match ended with some pushing and shoving amongst the players on the field.
