For the first time since they joined Canada West, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's soccer team is unbeaten in three starts. The WolfPack will put the capper on a four match homestand this weekend.
Thompson Rivers will entertain to of the top teams in the Pacific division as they host the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds and the University of Victoria Vikes on Friday and Saturday (Oct 4-5).Both matches have 5 pm kick offs on the Warner Rentals field at Hillside Stadium.
DETAILS:
The WolfPack are coming off a pair of back to back ties against the University of Calgary Dinos and the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves at home last weekend. Friday's meeting will be the first for WolfPack head coach
Mark Pennington against his former team. Pennington was an assistant coach with the T-Birds for three years.
These matches are the start of a two match home and home series between the teams. They will end the Canada West regular season playing each other in Vancouver and Victoria during the weekend of October 18-19
th.
According to the most recent Canada West stats, the WolfPack are the top drawing women's soccer team at home. Through six matches, the average attendance at a TRU women's soccer match is 462. They have drawn a league leading 1,850 fans this year. The next closest is UNBC who have drawn an average of 453 fans.

UBC: sits in third spot in the Pacific Division with a 4-1-3 record (15 points
UVIC: is tied for fourth spot in the Pacific Division with UNBC. The Vikes are 3-2-3 and have 12 points.

WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME BETWEEN THE TWO SIDES:
The last time the WolfPack played against these two teams was last season. Playing in Vancouver, UBC beat Thompson Rivers 3-0. The Vikes beat TRU by the same score in Victoria (Sept 21-22, 2018).
The WolfPack have never beaten either team over the last five years, in fact TRU hasn't scored against them during that time either. The last time UBC and UVIC came to Kamloops was September 23
