The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack are leaving Vancouver without a victory in a pair of Canada West men's volleyball matches.
After falling 3-1 to the host UBC Thunderbirds on Friday (Nov 23), the Pack were beaten in straight sets by the Thunderbirds on Saturday.
The scores were 25-22, 25-20,25-13.   Thompson Rivers falls to 1-7 on the year while UBC moves to 7-3.

UBC's main offensive weapon was Matt Neaves who had 10 kills.   Joshua Mullaney (4^th year, outside hitter, Calgary, AB) had seven for Thompson Rivers.



 SYNOPSIS
The WolfPack 's other main offensive players were Charlie Bringloe (5^th year, outside hitter, Waterloo, ON) with six kills and Kyle Behiels (5^th year, middle, Edmonton, AB) with four.    Anton Napolitano (4^th year, setter, Victoria, AUS) had 14 digs. 

Ben Hooker of the Thunderbirds had a team leading four blocks, 18 assists and six digs

"Tough loss today," said WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly. " We stared out tentative and had some good play in the first set. Full credit to UBC for picking up their play in the second and third. We struggled to find consistency today. Solid play from Landon Currie (3^rd year, libero, Vernon, BC) and Sam Taylor Parks (5^th year, middle, Kelowna, BC)  but overall, we struggled with consistency."
Currie had four digs in the contest.

UP NEXT:
Thompson Rivers will close out the pre Christmas portion of their 2019-20 Canada West regular season next weekend (Nov 29-30) when they head East to take on the Huskies and the University of Saskatchewan.  The Thunderbirds will close things out on the road as well. They will visit the Golden Bears at the University of Alberta.

The next home matches for the WolfPack will be Friday, January 10, 2020 when the University of Manitoba Bisons pay a visit to the Tournament Capital Centre.  Game time will be 5 PM PDT.
