The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack are coming out of Kelowna with a spit with the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat in Canada West women's basketball.
After losing to the UBCO Heat on Friday (Nov 8), the Pack came out Saturday (Nov 9) with a 68-59 victory. The win improves the Pack's record to 3-1 while the Heat fall to 1-3.
TRU led 14-12 after the first quarter but gave up 20 points in the second and trailed by four (32-28) at the half.
However, the Pack came out and outscored UBCO 27-13 in the third period and held a ten point advantage (55-45) at that point and despite being outscored 14-13 in the final stanza held on for the victory.

Jordan Haggerty (3
rd year, guard, Saskatoon, SK) had a career game. She led the way with 25 points and added six rebounds and four assists.
Emma Piggin (5
th year, guard, Kamloops, BC) had 11 points.
Leilani Carney added 10 points and six assists.
Jordin Wilkinson (4
th year, guard, North Battleford, SK) contributed 8 points while
Megan Rouault (3
rd year, guard, Vernon, BC) had four points and three steals.
Heat rookie phenom Jaeli Ibbertson (Kelowna, BC) had 14 points while fifth year guard Jordan Korol (Vernon, BC) had 10 in her final regular season match against her closest geographical rival.

Goran Nogic said his team played much better than on Friday. " We played much harder defensively. We still have some problems from shooting from the outside. We had some great team spirit and effort. Jordan Haggardy had a great game. Our team continues to grow and looking improve while doing a good job of representing TRU."
The WolfPack continue their roadswing next weekend (Nov 15-16) with two games in Edmonton, AB against the MacEwan Griffins. Their next home game is Friday November 22
nd when they entertain the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves at the Tournament Capital Centre. Tip off will be 7 pm.
