Payback and victories will be utmost on the mind of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's soccer team this weekend.
The WolfPack are back home to face a pair of teams who they have a score to settle with in Canada West play. Thompson Rivers hosts the Trinity Western University Spartans on Saturday (Sept 28) and the University of Fraser Valley Cascades on Sunday (Sept 29).
The Pack suffered the first defeat of the Canada West season on September 6
th falling 1-0 to the Spartans in the home debut for Trinity Western. One night later, Fraser Valley scored a second half stoppage time goal to draw Thompson Rivers at 1.
DETAILS:
Both matches this weekend are set for 2 pm on the Warner Rentals field at Hillside Stadium. The WolfPack and the WHL Kamloops Blazers are doing a cross promotion this weekend. The Blazers are giving away 50 TRU tickets at their game on Friday September 27
th game against the Kelowna Rockets. The WolfPack will be giving away 15 pairs (30) tickets to the Blazers Saturday September 28 th home game against Vancouver Giants . TRU will be running a contest at their Saturday matches (Men's Soccer vs Trinity and Women's soccer against Calgary). Fans will be asked to take a selfie and post it with the hash tags: #StadiumSelfie and @gotruwolfpack.

TRINITY WESTERN: The Spartans sit in a tie with UFV for fourth place in the Pacific Division with a 4-4 record and 12 points.Huskies were rated fifth in the Canada West men's soccer coaches pre-season poll. Coach Bryce Chapman is into his 16 th year at the helm.
FRASER VALLEY: are in a two way tie for fourth place in the Prairie division with a 3-3-3 record. They have won their last two starts.
TRU: were ranked fourth in the Canada West Men's Soccer preseason coaches poll. They are sixth in the Pacific Division with a 2-2-4 record. They are 1-0-3 at home this season.
WHAT HAPPENED LAST BETWEEN THE TWO SIDES:
Vs Trinity Western: The WolfPack gave up the lone goal in the first half as fourth year midfielder Jacob Low of the Spartans took the pass from Jake Ruby (1
st year, defender, North Vancouver, BC) and beat TRU keeper

Vs Fraser Valley: The WolfPack opened the scoring in the eighth minute on a goal from
Josh Banton. Banton capitalized on a UFV turnover and pounded in, moved to the right side of the box and chipped it high right side .Thompson Rivers outshot the Cascades 15-10 in the contest but were down 7-3 in that category after the first half.
The Cascades got a goal in stoppage time in the second half. There was a loose ball in front of TRU keeper
