COMMENTS BY COACH MARK PENNINGTON:
"Tough opening day result. But some positives to take away from the energy and the performance. I thought on the day, UNBC was really good especially in the first half. They came out with an intensity and a shape tactically that we had some issues dealing with initially. Once we figured that out and regrouped a bit we got better. A lot of opportunities for us to learn from. It is a process. We came up here last year and lost 2-0. We are looking for opportunities for small wins as we keep the process moving in the right direction. I thought the two centre backs got better as the match went on. A credit to the team that their work rate was very very good.
Danielle Robertson made some really good saves: one in the early stages of the game. We will reflect on this and continue to move in the right direction.
