KAMLOOPS – With two points in the bag, the 0-2-2 Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's soccer team will be looking for more in Victoria this weekend when they play the 2-0-2 UVic Vikes.

With the WolfPack on the road, the games this weekend will be broadcast live on campus. The Den will be showing all four of the men's and women's soccer games.

A dominant performance resulted in a pair of ties for the 'Pack last weekend. Outshooting the host UBC Okanagan Heat by a tally of 24-5 over the two games, the squad recorded ties of 1-1 and 0-0 in Kelowna.

After starting the year with a pair of victories over UNBC, the Vikes recorded a pair of scoreless draws with the Fraser Valley Cascades last weekend.

Victoria picked up a 1-0 road victory over the 'Pack in the lone game these teams played last season.

3 Things

1: All four of the WolfPack soccer games this weekend can be watched live at The Den. The on-campus eatery is extending their hours of operation until 10 p.m. on Friday and opening specifically on Saturday so that WolfPack fans have a place to safely gather and watch the games.

2: The 24 shots on goal the WolfPack recorded last weekend was the most since a mark of 25 set on September 20 and 21 of 2019 against the Manitoba Bisons and Winnipeg Wesmen.

3: The 'Pack are looking for their first victory against the Vikes in Canada West play.

By the Numbers

12 – Veteran Camryn Curts leads the way for the 'Pack with 12 shots through the first four games of the season.

360 – A pair of first-years have played every minute of the season so far, with centre backs Caylah Lemon and Raiya Rumo being ever-present for the 'Pack.

0 – The WolfPack have been held scoreless in their previous seven conference contests with the Vikes.

Scouting the Vikes

The Vikes come into the weekend with the best defensive record in the conference, having surrendered just one goal through their opening four games. Kayley Lidstone has back-stopped all of those shutouts while eight different players have scored their eight goals this season.
