KAMLOOPS – A pair of battles with the top-ranked team in the country are ahead for the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's soccer team when they host the Trinity Western Spartans this weekend.

Taking place Friday night at 7 p.m. and Saturday night at 5 p.m., the contests will serve as the TRU's first Canada West home games with fans allowed inside Hillside Stadium since October 12 of 2019.

As part of Back the Pack Scholarship Weekend, the games this weekend will be entry by donation. All donations will be matched through a generous gift made by Abbott Wealth Management.

DONATE ONLINE

Fans 12-and-over attending the games will be required to show proof of full vaccination through their online BC Vaccine Card. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to beat the lines and get into the stadium in a timely manner.

The WolfPack weren't rewarded despite a pair of strong performances last weekend. Playing the UVic Vikes in Victoria, they went toe-to-toe with a Vikes team before falling by scores of 1-0 and 2-0.

Trinity Western enters the weekend undefeated, boasting a perfect 6-0 record on the season. The Spartans toppled the Fraser Valley Cascades by scores of 5-0 and 1-0. The Langley-based squad has scored 22 goals and allowed just 2 so far this season.

Trinity Western recorded a 4-0 victory in Langley in the lone game these teams played in 2019.

3 Things

1: Every single dollar donated this weekend will go to supporting student-athlete scholarships.

2:  Fans 12-and-over attending the games will be required to show proof of full vaccination through their online BC Vaccine Card.

3: The first 250 TRU students through the gate will receive a complimentary WolfPack t-shirt.
