KAMLOOPS – 61 days after their last Canada West match, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team will make their much anticipated return to game action this weekend when they face the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver.

The WolfPack (1-3) will face the Thunderbirds (3-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and again at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
 
TRU secured their first victory of the season in their last game before the long layoff, winning a marathon five set battle 3-2 against the UBCO Okanagan Heat.
 
UBC's last games were also against the Heat. The Thunderbirds defeated UBCO 3-1 on Friday night before falling 3-0 in the rematch.

These teams met twice back in the 2019-20 season with the Thunderbirds taking both contests by scores of 3-1 and 3-0 in Vancouver.

2: Third-year setter Samuel Elgert was named the Canada West men's volleyball player of the week for his efforts in the WolfPack's split with the Heat.

3: After a first semester during which they played just four games, the 'Pack are slated to play for the next six weekends straight.
