KAMLOOPS – For the third time in four games the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer team ended the night how they started with a 0-0 tie, this time drawing with the UVic Vikes in Victoria.
 
The WolfPack fired 10 shots towards net but only one found the target as the squad failed to trouble Harjot Nijjar in the Vikes net.
 
Jackson Gardner was again consistent in net for TRU, making three saves for his program record sixth shutout of the year. Gardner and the WolfPack defence have now surrendered just 10 goals in the 14 games they have played this season.
 
With the result the 'Pack are now 7-3-4 on the year and currently sit third in the Pacific Division standings of Canada West men's soccer. If these standings hold through the final games of the season tomorrow, TRU would be heading out on the road for a Canada West Quarter-Final playoff game next weekend.
 
There will be plenty on the line tomorrow night in Vancouver when the 'Pack wrap up their season against the first-place UBC Thunderbirds (9-3-2). With TRU and UNBC (8-4-3) jockeying for second place and the right to host a playoff game, it will all come down to the wire for the 'Pack.
