KAMLOOPS – For the second night in a row the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team found themselves in a five set match but were unable to get a victory in a 3-2 (25-15, 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-10) loss to the UBC Okanagan Heat.
"It was a hard-fought battle and lapses on serve receive cost us again," said WolfPack head coach
Pat Hennelly. "We have to reset and be ready for a tough USask team."
After dropping the first set the WolfPack bounced back and took the next two. They appeared on their way to victory before the Heat snuck the fourth set 25-23. In the fifth and deciding frame the teams traded points all the way to 10-10 before the Heat rattled off five-straight points to take the set and match.
Sam Flowerday had a team-high 16 kills for the 'Pack.
Rylan Ibbetson added eight while
Sam Elgert racked up 34 assists.

Rylan Ibbetson had a bounce back night coming off the bench to play solid volleyball," said Hennelly.
For the second night in a row Renn Petryk led the way for UBCO, finishing with 17 kills. Seba Manuel added 14 while Zach van Geel had 35 assists.
The WolfPack (4-4) will look to get their season back on track next weekend they welcome the Saskatchewan Huskies (5-3) to the TCC.
