1: Both the WolfPack and Wesmen enter the weekend with records of 2-2 in Canada West play this season
2: For the first time in WolfPack history there will be a beer garden and hot food being served inside the TCC all year long. Kid's Club presented by McDonald's is also back, featuring muffins, yogurt and colouring sheets.
3: TRU swept the Wesmen the last time these teams played in Kamloops, earning victories of 3-0 and 3-2 in the 2018-19 season.
Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – A pair of tight games promise to be on the horizon for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team that is set to host the Winnipeg Wesmen.
Both teams enter the weekend with identical records of 2-2, TRU has split both of their opening weekends while the Wesmen have swept the MacEwan Griffins before dropping a pair of games to the Alberta Golden Bears.
Last weekend out on the road, the 'Pack picked up one win in two games against the Manitoba Bisons. TRU got their weekend off to a strong start with a 3-1 win before falling 3-0 in the second game.
Corbin Ockerman was named the WolfPack Athlete of the Week after the middle from Elk Point, AB hit .571 per cent on the weekend.
After starting their season with wins of 3-1 and 3-0 over the Griffins, the Wesmen struggled against the nationally ranked Golden Bears last weekend. Winnipeg dropped both games by scores of 3-1.
