Game Story

KAMLOOPS – The stage is set for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer team that has waited all year for this moment.

The 'Pack will take on the McMaster Marauders at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 in a Quarter-final action at the 2022 U SPORTS Men's Soccer Championship, presented by RBC.

Earning the No. 5 seed in the eight team tournament after finishing second in the Pacific Division, the 'Pack (7-3-5) will face the OUA Champion McMaster Marauders (8-3-1) with the victor advancing to the semifinals.

TRU enters the tournament ready to take advantage of a second chance opportunity. After falling to the Calgary Dinos in a blustery CW quarter-final, the 'Pack would have normally seen their season come to an end, however the team receives an automatic berth to nationals as host.

The Marauders will have momentum on their side as they come into the tournament riding one of the longest winning streaks in the country. McMaster won their final three games of the regular season and then went a perfect 3-0 in the in the playoffs to win the OUA title. McMaster capped off their run with a 1-0 victory over the TMU Bold in the championship game.

The winner of this game will advance to the semifinals, with the loser falling to the consolation semifinals.
