KAMLOOPS – Winners of their last three games in a row, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team will play three games in four days on home court this week.
Hosting both the 0-9 Cascades and the 10-0 Spartans, the 4-7 WolfPack will play the teams that sit on opposite ends of the Canada West standings.
The game between the WolfPack and Cascades will go on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. After that the 'Pack will turn their attention to the U SPORTS No. 1 ranked Spartans for games on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
TRU enters the slate of games riding high on a three-game winning streak after they took down the Cascades on back-to-back-to-back days by scores of 3-0, 3-2 and 3-1 last weekend in Abbotsford.
Thundersky Walkingbear was named the WolfPack Athlete of the Week after contributing 19 kills, 6 service aces, 5 blocks and 20 digs over the three games.
The Cascades are still looking to pick up their first win of the year but by no means has the squad been a pushover in their first season of Canada West volleyball. The Cascades have pushed three of their nine losses this year to five sets.
On the opposite end of the standings, the Spartans enter the week as the top ranked team in the country and have won all 10 of their Canada West games this season. TWU swept the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver last weekend by identical scores of 3-1.
