3 Things

1: Throughout the weekend, the WolfPack will be playing in support of the 'I Believe You' project. The 'I Believe You' project is a collaborative work created by TRU's Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Manager and the Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre. It is a student-driven movement created by and for students, to create sexual violence prevention programs for communities across TRU's campus.

2: These will be the first home games for the WolfPack in 56 days. Away games on either end of the winter break have kept the 'Pack away from home court advantage for an extended period of time.

3:  There will be hot food being served inside the TCC all year long. Kid's Club presented by McDonald's is also back, featuring muffins, yogurt and colouring sheets.

Weekend Story

KAMLOOPS – A pair of important games are on the horizon for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team that is ready to play their first home games in over 50 days.

Facing the UFV Cascades at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday, TRU will be looking to increase their hold on a playoff position. They are currently in sole possession of the eighth and final Canada West postseason spot, holding a record of 6-8.

Going up against the No. 5 ranked team in the country - the Mount Royal Cougars - last weekend, TRU hung tough on Saturday night in a 3-1 loss after falling 3-0 the night prior.

Fraser Valley (4-12) is a team that has been up and down throughout the campaign. They have a pair of impressive wins against the UBC Thunderbirds and Saskatchewan Huskies but split their last weekend against the MacEwan Griffins, allowing MacEwan to pick up their first win of the season in the process.

The 'Pack and Cascades met four times last season with TRU securing victory on all four occasions.

By The Numbers

115: WolfPack Libero Dylan VanSpankeren is third in the conference with 115 digs

4-0: With Fraser Valley having just entered Canada West last season, the WolfPack hold a perfect 4-0 record against the Abbotsford-based squad.

1.02: Middle Michael Svab of the 'Pack is fifth in the conference after averaging over one block-per-set so far this season.
