The 'Pack led by as many as five points but were unable to put away a pesky Heat squad that played far above their 1-16 record. UBCO fought off five match points before a block from Cade Hudson and Teo Ardanaz ended the set at 32-30.

QUOTABLE – Pat Hennelly, head coach
  • We were going up against our rivals and they had our number last year – we look back at those matches last year as one of the reasons we didn't make the playoffs – so that sits in guys heads. There's a little mental fatigue with our guys after the last couple weeks because we certainly had a lull in that fourth set when it looked like we were running away with it but I appreciate the fact they came out in the fifth set and really set that tone early to give us some breathing room.
  • We said after the fourth set that it's time to take a deep breathe, close your eyes and start thinking about what it's about.

UP NEXT
  • These teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon inside the TCC with a scheduled start time of 4:45 p.m.
