Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – After one of the most outstanding weekends in program history the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's volleyball team is back in Kamloops for their first home games of the 2024-25 season this weekend.
All weekend long entry will be by donation to the
Owyn McInnis Memorial – Men's Volleyball Athletic Award
Facing UBCO at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the WolfPack enter the weekend ranked No. 9 in Canada after a dominant performance in their opening games.
Taking on the reigning CW Champion Manitoba Bisons in Winnipeg, the 'Pack secured victories of 3-1 and 3-0 over Manitoba. On Friday, new member of the 'Pack
Rida Erlalelitepe tied a Canada West record with 31 kills in the four-set match. That mark is the third time that a player has recorded 31 kills in a four-set match in conference history. The other two times were both accomplished by former WolfPack standout Iuliia Pakhomenko. For her efforts Erlalelitepe was named both the WolfPack and Canada West Athlete of the Week.
Picked to finish fifth in the Canada West Coaches' Poll, a WolfPack squad that graduated just one player from last season and added some impact recruits put the nation on notice with their performance.
The Heat started their season with a bang as well, as they swept the MacEwan Griffins by scores of 3-1 and 3-0 in Kelowna.
Last season the 'Pack and Heat split a pair of games in Kamloops with each team winning by a score of 3-0.
