Weekend Story
 
KAMLOOPS – Back at home for the final time in 2024, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team will look to knock off the nationally No. 6 ranked TWU Spartans inside the TCC.
 
Facing TWU at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, the weekend will pit the WolfPack (2-4) against the Spartans (5-3) in a pair of games between two teams that aren't far from each other in a tight Canada West standing picture.
 
The WolfPack will be looking to bounce back after a difficult weekend in Abbotsford last weekend saw the UFV Cascades secure a pair of victories in their last action. Sam Flowerday, who led the nation in kills last season, had a strong showing on both nights with 19 kills on Friday and 16 on Saturday.
 
The Spartans, ranked sixth in the latest U SPORTS Top 10, enter the weekend on the heels of a loss after they split a pair of games with the UBC Okanagan Heat in Langley. After starting their season with a sweep of MacEwan, the Spartans have been held to a split by the Brandon Bobcats, the UBC Thunderbirds and the aforementioned Heat in consecutive weeks.
 
Last season, TWU picked up back-to-back 3-1 victories over the 'Pack in the TCC.
