Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – Entering the weekend ranked fifth in the nation, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's volleyball team will play the final home games of their first semester this weekend when they host the TWU Spartans inside the TCC.
Facing TWU at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the weekend will pit the WolfPack (4-2) against the perennial powerhouse Spartans (5-3) in a pair of games between two teams that are near the top of the Canada West standings.
The WolfPack will be looking to bounce back after a difficult weekend in Abbotsford last weekend saw the No. 3 UFV Cascades secure a pair of victories in their last action. TRU took Fraser Valley the distance on Friday, narrowly losing in a five set marathon before falling 3-1 on Saturday.
Olivia Andulajevic was named the WolfPack Athlete of the Week after the steady libero recorded games with 14 and 12 digs.
The Spartans enter the weekend on the heels of a loss after they split a pair of games with the UBC Okanagan Heat in Langley. After securing a 3-1 victory on Friday, the Spartans lost in straight sets to a Heat squad that TRU swept earlier this season.
Last season, TWU earned close victories of 3-2 and 2-1 over the 'Pack inside the TCC.

2: Friday night is Country Night in the TCC, anyone wearing their cowboy boots or hat will get free entry to the games! The TRU Rodeo Team will do a roping demonstration between the second and third sets.
