Huskies complete sweep of ‘Pack

QUICK FIRE
  • The visiting Saskatchewan Huskies led wire-to-wire to take down the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team by a dominant 96-36 tally inside the TCC.

DIFFERENCE MAKERS
  • Sydney Vollrath led the 'Pack with eight points in her 20 minutes of action. Rookie Allison Hansen added six points and five rebounds while fellow first-year Morgan Eichenberger finished with a team-high nine rebounds.
  • Logan Reider was the story for the Huskies. The guard from Saskatoon knocked down an incredible 11 three-pointers on her way to scoring 40 points. Gage Grassick added another 15 points to go along with six assists for the Huskies.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Saskatchewan took control of the match early, scoring 22 points in the first quarter led by 12 from Reider. Olivia Randall and Vollrath responded with three pointers for the 'Pack.
  • The WolfPack offence started clicking a little more in the second frame with Hansen scoring four and Jocelyn Orr three, but the Huskies increased their lead to 41-17 at the half.
  • From there the nationally-ranked Huskies were able to comfortably see out the game.

NOTABLE
  • Reider's 11 three pointers ties her for the most in a single game in U SPORTS women's basketball history.
  • Both Danijela Kovacevic and Priyanca Sundher played the 60th games of their WolfPack careers.

UP NEXT
