KAMLOOPS – Five-time provincial champion Ranjeet Brar is the latest addition to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer team after head coach
John Antulov announced that the midfielder will be joining the 'Pack.
From Edmonton, AB Brar is a 6-3 central midfielder that attended J. Percy Page High School.
"The thing I loved about Ranjeet was not just the physical side of the game – he's very big and strong – but also his ability, he's a very technical player," said Antulov. "He's really good with the ball at his feet and has a great range of passing."
Playing his club soccer with the prestigious Edmonton Scottish United program, Brar has earned many accolades both on and off the field.
"I bring a blend of determination, versatility, and teamwork to the WolfPack," said Brar. "On the field, I strive to be adaptable, able to excel in various positions and roles as needed by the team. My commitment to improvement drives me to continuously hone my skills, whether it's through rigorous training sessions or studying the game off the field."
Alongside the five provincial titles that he captured, Brar has previously been a member of Team Alberta and was named to the Honour at J. Percy Page High School every year of his high school career.
"We really liked what we saw on video and brought him in, he trained with our group and looked like a really solid prospect and someone that can make a real impact on our program," said Antulov. "He also has a great ability to defend and is very sound positionally, he's going to be a great addition to our squad."
Playing soccer from a young age, Brar plans to combine his athletic and academic achievements at TRU where he will study business administration.
Brar is the 11th member in the 2024-25 recruiting class for a WolfPack squad that has qualified for the CW postseason for the past six consecutive seasons.
