Weekend Story
 
KAMLOOPS – It will all come down to this weekend for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's soccer team that has their sights set on a third CW postseason berth in program history. Facing Interior rivals UBCO on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19 both games will get underway at 2:30 p.m. inside Hillside Stadium.

Entering the weekend with 15 points and a record of 5-7, the WolfPack will be hunting down UBCO who currently hold the fourth and final playoff spot with a record of 5-5-2 and 17 points. TRU holds their playoff fate in their own hands, needing at least a win and a tie this weekend to secure their spot.

The WolfPack were on a bye last weekend and will be looking to use that rest to good use as they are looking for their first win since Sept. 20.

UBCO was in action last weekend and handled the UNBC Timberwolves with wins of 4-1 and 3-0.

This will be the first regular season meeting between the two squads though TRU did pick up a preseason win over the Heat back in August. The WolfPack are 6-8-6 against the Heat all-time in Canada West play.

1: Prior to the game on Sunday the WolfPack will celebrate graduating student-athletes Katie Chun and Allie Shiyuk as the pair play the final regular season games of their TRU careers.
 
2: Regardless of the outcome this weekend, TRU's five wins this season is already for the second-most in program history.
 
3: Fryer's Express will be serving up food at both games this weekend.
