Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – Another weekend at home is ahead for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team that will be eyeing an upset when they welcome nationally No. 1 ranked UBC to the TCC.
Taking on the Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the WolfPack will be aiming to secure their 10th win over UBC since 2015.
TRU (2-4) enters the weekend after falling in a pair of games to Saskatchewan in their last action. After losing 3-0 on Friday, the WolfPack took the Huskies the distance on Saturday before suffering a narrow 3-2 defeat.
UBC (4-0) meanwhile has yet to lose on the season. The T-Birds were on a bye last weekend but beat the Manitoba Bisons by a score of 3-1 in back-to-back games Oct. 24 and Oct. 26.
These teams met twice last season in Vancouver with UBC taking both contests although the WolfPack did push it to five sets on Saturday.
