COACH PAT HENNELLY
"Great to have Kavin as our first recruit in the 2027 class. Kavin has incredible upside as an outside hitter.
Reece Wilson (WolfPack lead assistant coach) first discovered Kavin, from Fort St John BC on Instagram. Once we had Kavin on an official visit we knew he would be a great for our program. Kavin has the size and ball control to be an impact player in our league. He also has great poise and maturity and showed his leadership at Nationals this year.

"Since I started playing volleyball I knew I wanted to compete and play at the highest level that I could. Because of this I knew I wanted to play U SPORTS, especially in the Canada West conference. I knew TRU was the right fit for me after meeting with the coaches and learning what it means to be a part of TRU and the WolfPack. The coaches spoke about the values they have for their players not only as volleyball players but as young adults as well. After seeing the team culture and the dedicated community in the team, along with seeing the bond that the team had, it solidified my decision."
"Living so far north in a place where most kids grow up playing hockey, it's been quite a journey to get to this point. For a long time I had no clue what sport I wanted to pursue, so I tried them all. I tried out for volleyball in grade 9, and I quickly fell in love. I started playing competitively in grade 10. During the club season I was brought up to the U18 team as a 15-year-old and switched positions to outside. I found success very quickly at the outside position and continue to grow into the player I am today. I hope TRU will extend my development and challenge me as a volleyball player."
"Playing volleyball this far north gives you many opportunities to face adversity on and off the court. I'm thankful for those opportunities because it makes me a better player and teammate. I try to be as clear-minded on the court so mistakes bounce off my back. I will make a strong effort to be consistent for my team. I will achieve that by passing well and having an explosive offense. I do my best to maintain a positive attitude and give my best on every play."
