Emmanuel dressed for 12 matches last year and started in nine, adding an assist and one shot. He played this past summer in the PCSL (Pacific Coast Soccer League) with the Kamloops WolfPack. Emmanuel also enjoys basketball, having played competitively for his high school until the tenth grade. Emmanuel has been greatly inspired by his father, Sylvester, and he and his family are originally from Nigeria. What most of Emmanuel’s teammates don’t know about him is that his middle name is David. He enjoys reading and listening to music. His favourite music genre is rap and his favourite artist is J.Cole. If you were to see Emmanuel at karaoke, he would be singing a song by Nevo. Emmanuel’s words of advice to younger players are: “stay calm under pressure, we were all just as nervous when we first got here, at least I was.”
