Kolton attended the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy for many years under the direction of Coach Antulov before committing to the WolfPack in February of 2018. This past summer he played for the WolfPack Pacific Coast Soccer League team. TRU had a big influence on his development growing up. His former club and high school coaches include TRU alumni Byron Gayfer, Brynden Swint and Sean Wallace. He also played in the Thompson Okanagan Football Club with current teammate Scott Cramer. His greatest sports moment came in 2016 when he played in Spain at the Donosti Cup with a team from his hometown of Kamloops. He lists his biggest influence in his athletic career as his grandfather because he pushed Kolton to have a better game by being hard on him: “it was hard to get a ‘good game’ out of him so I always strived to accomplish that.” Kolton’s favourite musical artist is Eminem, though he enjoys most types of music. If Kolton could dine with any celebrity he would choose either David Beckham or Lionel Messi.
