Biography

2019-20

Chantal Gammie is one of three players gracing the team’s schedule poster this year. She had an outstanding freshman season with the WolfPack and was rewarded with a selection to the Canada West rookie all-star team. She started in all 14 matches she dressed for and had a team high seven goals (two game winners) with 33 shots (19 on goal). She was a finalist for the TRU WolfPack female newcomer of the year for 2018-19.Chantal was named to the BC Secondary School “AA” championship Commissioner’s 11 twice (2015 and 2016). She figure skated for 12 years growing up along with playing basketball and volleyball in high school. Her greatest sports moment came in 2014 when she scored the winning goal in the zone final which allowed her high school to go to the provincials for the first time in eight years. Her biggest influence is Canadian captain Christine Sinclair.  Melissa McCarthy is the celebrity she would most like to dine with because she isGammie’s favourite actress. Her advice to incoming athletes, “Be confident in your skills and don’t be afraid to try things.”
