The theme at this year's Athletic Awards Banquet was 'Casino Royale' and the athletes dressed accordingly. Beautiful dresses, suits and ties and long flowing hair made most unrecognizable!
All of the coaches presented their own team awards for categories such as Most Inspirational, Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable and Most Improved.
Laura Plouffe and Kyle Bowman did an excellent job emceeing and started the evening off with an impressive entrance toting cigars and aviators.

Graduating Student Athletes
(4th year soccer and baseball, 5th year volleyball and basketball)
Every year it is time to say good-bye to the athletes who have combined their pursuit of a higher education with a varsity sport. The hours that they have spent practicing, working out, training, travelling and playing for the University College of the Cariboo (UCC) and now Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is about to come to an end. Some of these athletes are heading off to continue their studies at different institutions, some will stay here to finish, but their eligibility has run its course. Others will continue to play their chosen sports at varying levels and some are about to take a well earned rest. Except the baseball players... they have to stay and play until May. Then they are allowed to leave!
