
Scott Reeves has done a lot of amazing things during his 18 years as a basketball coach. Winning provincial high school championships, directing provincial and regional teams and of course, coaching at the CIS level come to mind immediately.
Now, the long time coach of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s program can add another accomplishment to his resume: member of a National team program.
Reeves has been named as a Performance Analyst for the National Junior Women’s program for this summer. The team begins training camp in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday (June 28).

Reeves will be breaking down video as well as doing some on court coaching during his time with the Junior National team.

The National team has invited 20 players to their training camp, which runs until July 7
th at Durham College. One of them is South Kamloops Secondary graduate Emma Wolfram. Wolfram is preparing to start her NCAA Division I career this fall with Gonzaga University. She is one of two players from British Columbia at the training camp.
The Junior National team will hold exhibition games July 8-11 in Marseille France and July 12-15 in Lanzarote, Spain. They then fly to Panevezys, Lithuania for training and preparation for the start of the FIBA U19 World Championships which begin there on July 18 th. The world championships run for 10 days.

The head coach of Canada’s Junior National team is Rich Chambers of Port Moody, BC. He is a secondary school teacher at Terry Fox Secondary in Port Coquitlam, BC. He is assisted by Reeves, Donna Branch and Scott Edwards (University of Alberta).
