MBB in 'must win' hosting Manitoba

With their playoff lives hanging in the balance, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's basketball team play their final home regular season games in Canada West action this weekend.
The Pack will be on the championship court at the Tournament Capital Centre meeting up with the University of Manitoba Bisons.
The teams will do battle Friday and Saturday nights (Jan 25-26).
Manitoba is .500 on the road (4-4) and have won four of their last five after sweeping Trinity Western at home last weekend and UNBC in Prince George the week previous.
The Pack are coming off being swept at home by Regina including one in overtime last weekend.
Friday's game is TRU's  "Bell Let's Talk about Mental Health" night.  Saturday will see the team honor their lone fifth year player—Derek Rhodes before the contest.

Important Game Notes:

The teams  last met November 11th and 12th in 2016 in Manitoba with the WolfPack losing the first night 90-68 but coming back and winning the second night 77-72.
They last faced each other at the Tournament Capital Centre on January 31, 2014. The WolfPack won that night 76-60.
Both games will be webcast on a pay per view basis on Canada West TV.  James Matthews will handle the play by play on Friday with CFJC TV's Adam Donnelly doing the color commentary.   Sports Information Officer Larry Read handles the duties on Saturday with Radio NL's Matt Pouncy handling color commentary. CFJC TV's Dylana Milobar will do the interviewing/hosting both nights.

Derek Rhodes (5th year, forward, Antoich, CA): leads the team in points per game (15.5) averaging 34.4 minutes
Joe Davis (4th year, forward, Kamloops, BC): third in team in rebounds averaging 6.1 per game playing 31.1 minutes a game.
Enrico Nuno (4th year, forward, Half Moon Bay, CA): second on the team in rebounding (6.6 per game) and averaging 22.5 minutes.
Anton Bilous (4th year, guard, Cherkassy, Ukraine): second on the team in scoring averaging  13.9 points per game in 28.6 minutes on the floor.
Michael Rouault (4th year, guard, Vernon, BC): leads the team in rebounds (7.6) and steals (1.3) per game with 22.5  minutes of playing time.


MANITOBA:

Rashawn Browne (4th year,guard, Toronto, ON): leads the Bisons in scoring  (16.3) points per game , second in rebounding (5.9 per game) and second in steals (1.5 per game) while playing 31.2 minutes.
James Wagner (3rd year, forward, Winnipeg, MB):  second on the team in scoring (13.9 points per game)  and leads the team in rebounding (6.6 per game)in 30.3 minutes of court time.
DJ Jordan Jr (5th year, guard, Wichita Falls, Texas):  third in team scoring averaging 10.4 points per game in 23.6 minutes of court time..
