MVB snap six match losing streak with win over Manitoba

 The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's volleyball team snapped a six  match losing streak as they dumped the host University of Manitoba Bisons 3-1 in Canada West action Friday night. The scores were  24-26,25-20,25-21,25-23.  The Pack move back above the .500 mark at 8-7.

SYNOPSIS
The WolfPack  were led by Tim Dobbert  (5th year, outside hitter, Aichelberg, Germany who had 27 kills. Sam Taylor Parks (4th year middle, Kelowna, BC) and Tim Edge (5th year outside hitter, Langley, BC) had nine kills a piece while Anton Napolitano (3rd year, setter, Victoria, Australia) had 41 assists and six service aces.
Kevin Negas had eight kills in a losing cause for the Bisons.

On Match: " We struggled from he service line but when the serves were in it caused Manitoba problems. Tim Dobbert was good offensively and Anton di a great job of running the offense. Big difference maker was Tim Edge. He passed very well and was efficient attacking. Overall, great effort on the road against a tough home team."
 
 
UP NEXT:

The two teams will duke it out again at the University of Manitoba tomorrow (Sat Jan 26). Game time is 7 pm CDT.  After the match, The 'Pack will return home to begin a four game home stand. That begins Friday, February 1st on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre when the opposition will be the Brandon University Bobcats.  Game time will be 6:45 pm PDT.
