The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's basketball team opened up a two game exhibition series in Oregon on Friday night (Oct 25).
The Pack fell 80-51 to the Corban University Warriors of Oregon. Thompson Rivers was down 37-31 at the half. Thompson Rivers was led by
Joe Davis (5
th year, forward, Kamloops, BC) who had 15 points.
Anton Bilous (5
th year, guard, Cherkassy, Ukraine) added 11 points while
Tyus De Vries (3
rd year, guard, Chilliwack, BC) chipped in with 10 points.
The WolfPack turned over the ball 14 times compared to Corban's 13.
"We made too many mistakes," said WolfPack head coach
Scott Clark. " It was a good game because it revealed to us what we need to do to be a better team."
The WolfPack will end their exhibition season on Saturday (October 26) when they play the Northwest University Eagles.
Thompson Rivers begins their 2019-20 Canada West regular season on Friday, November 1
st when they entertain the Trinity Western University Spartans. Tip off will be 5 pm at the Tournament Capital Centre.
