COMMENTS BY COACH MARK PENNINGTON:
"We gave a much better account of ourselves after a disappointing result on Thursday. To come home with a point from a very grueling road trip, 25 hours on a bus, a point off one of the top teams in the country shows we are here to compete this year. Today, the compete level was fantastic. Every player was a warrior today and we had to dig in and grind, and to the players credit they did that really well.
Camryn Curts got us going with a top class strike and we were perhaps unlucky not to add a second when I thought Cassie Morris had got on the end of a set piece."
"The goal we conceded wasn't great and we were unlucky that it deflected right in front of Danny, who was good all day. But those are the breaks. Calgary definitely ha the run of the game from that point on but I coldn't be prouder of the work rate and unity the team showed to grind out a well-earned point against a team who will be up there come the end of the season:
"It is really hard to single out anyone as I thought every player put in a shift but
Cassie Morris and
Danielle Robertson were instrumental today."
