The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's basketball team return from a one week bye to head to the eastern most venue in the Canada West.
The WolfPack packed their bags and have arrived in Brandon, Manitoba for back-to-back games with the host Bobcats.
Thompson Rivers has won their last three games and sport a 9-3 record which is good enough for a three way tie for fourth place in the Canada West standings along with Victoria and Saskatchewan. Brandon sits second last in the league at 1-11 and have lost their last nine outings.
Friday's game (Jan 17) has a 1:30 PM CST start time as part of the Bobcats "School Day" game. Saturday's contest (Jan 18) has a 7:00 PM CST tip off.

HISTORY
Thompson Rivers last had a regular season game there in 2017-18. In fact, they closed out the campaign in Brandon. They won the first night (Feb 2, 2018) 104-81 scoring 29 points in both the second and third quarters.
Derek Rhodes led the way that night with 25 points while Micheal Roauult added 21,
Joe Davis 19 and
Anton Bilous contributed 10 with Tyus DeVries potting six.
The following night (Feb 3, 2018), the Bobcats were 66-57 victors getting 26 points from Jonathan Range. Current Bobcat players Jaleel Webb had six points in the game while Steven Chieng was held scoreless in two minutes of play. Davis led TRU with 23 points, Rouault had eight with Bilous adding seven.
The teams also met in Brandon in the 2016-17 playoff season where the teams battled in a best of three 'play in' series. The Bobcats won the series opener (Feb 17, 2017), 101-95 before the WolfPack took the next two by scores of 96-64 and 94-81.
Joe Davis had 14 points in game two and 12 points in the third and deciding game. The Pack went onto play the Dinos in Calgary in the quarter finals and lost in two straight.

th year, forward, Kamloops, BC): Became the WolfPack's all time leading scorer in the team's last game (1, 026). He is averaging 17.1 points per game (most on the team) and is second in rebounds with 6.5 per game averaging 29.3 minutes.
Micheal Rouault (5 th year, guard, Vernon, BC): leads TRU in rebounds with 9.5 boards per game in 29.7 minutes of court time. He is third in team scoring averaging 14 per game.
Anton Bilous (5
th year, guard, Cerkassy, Ukraine): sits second in team scoring averaging 17 points in 29.2 minutes.
Kyrin Cybenko (5
th year, forward, Saskatoon, SK): since returning from missing almost the entire first half of the year with an injury, he has moved into third place in rebounds averaging 6.3 in 13.5 minutes of work.

The WolfPack will return from Brandon and close out their four game road trip on January 24-25 th when they visit the Vikes at the University of Victoria.
The final home regular season weekend for Thompson Rivers will come up January 31-February 1
st at the Tournament Capital Centre as they will entertain the University of Fraser Valley Cascades. Friday night (Jan 31) will be "Donors Night" while the Saturday night contest (Feb 1) will see the team honor fifth year players Micheal Rouault (Vernon, BC),
Joe Davis (Kamloops, BC),
Anton Bilous (Cerkassy, Ukraine) and
Kyrin Cybenko (Saskatoon, SK). The weekend is also being deemed "Alumni Weekend" where former players from the Cariboo College Chiefs, University College of the Cariboo Sun Demons and the WolfPack will be recognized.
