KAMLOOPS – Taking to the road for the first time in the 2022-23 Canada West season, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's volleyball team came out on the wrong side of a 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-11) score line against the Manitoba Bisons.
 
Erin Mutch and Brooklyn Olfert led the way offensively for TRU, finishing with eight and seven kills respectively. Abby Spratt had 13 assists in two sets of action while both Mutch and Lucy Millam recorded solo blocks.
 
Interim head coach Behlul Yavasgel took the opportunity to get nearly everyone on the roster involved with 14 members of the 'Pack seeing game action.
 
TRU's best set came in the second when they hung around with Manitoba for most of the frame before the Bisons pulled away late.
 
The service line was a big difference maker on the night with the Bisons racking up 11 aces to the 'Pack's 3.
 
The 'Pack fall to 2-1 on the season with the result and will now look to regroup for the second game of their weekend set with the Bisons tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT.
