3 Things
1: There will be hot food and cold beer served up inside the TCC at every WolfPack game this season.
2: The newly-crowned U SPORTS Men's Soccer National Champion WolfPack will be signing autographs and taking pictures with the championship trophy at half time.
3: The men's side of the Presidents' Cup – a yearly battle between TRU and UBCO across all the sports they compete in – is currently slightly in favour of the Heat after they earned a win and a draw during the soccer season.
Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – For the first time this season the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team will hit the floor inside the TCC when they welcome their Interior rivals to town.
Taking on the UBC Okanagan Heat in a pair of Presidents' Cup battles, the 'Pack will face UBCO on both Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
Looking to get into the win column for the first time this season, TRU came just one minute away from getting a victory last weekend. After falling 84-49 in their first game of the year, the 'Pack rebounded and led 66-61 with three minutes left to go before fading late in a 72-66 loss.
UBCO holds a record of 0-4 on their season. After starting the year with a pair of losses at the hands of the Calgary Dinos they fell 90-89 and 109-95 to the Brandon Bobcats last weekend.
By The Numbers
16-9: The WolfPack are 16-9 all-time against UBCO in CW play.
9: TRU has won nine of the last ten battles for the Presidents' Cup.
