KAMLOOPS – Scoring just 15 points in the second half sunk any chance the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team had of pulling off the upset in a 76-39 loss to the Lethbridge Pronghorns in Lethbridge.

Hanging tough with the Pronghorns through three quarters, TRU trailed just 34-48 before Lethbridge blew the game wide open by outscoring the 'Pack 28-5 in the final frame.

Danijela Kovacevic led the way for TRU with seven points while all ten players that entered the game scored atleast two points. Elana Sireni snagged six rebounds but TRU shot just 6-28 from beyond-the-arc in the loss.

Jessica Haenni led the Pronghorns with a 21-point outing that included going five-for-eight (.625) from the three-point line and .583 from the field. Veteran Haily Weaver had a 12-point night to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

TRU will look to get into the win column for the first time this season when these teams face off again tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. PT in Lethbridge. That game can be watched live on canadawest.tv
