KAMLOOPS – Playing at home for the first time in 70 days, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team is looking for the familiar confines of the Tournament Capital Centre to give them a boost on Thursday.

The 4-8 WolfPack will welcome a 7-4 Cascades squad at 6:00 p.m. with the hosts looking to pick up their first win of the second semester.

After missing out on games last weekend this will be the WolfPack's first action after they were swept on the road by the division-leading UBC Thunderbirds. Despite trailing by as many as 18 points in their second game with UBC, the 'Pack fought back time and time again and were able to hang tough with UBC before the hosts pulled away late.

Fraser Valley enters the game on a hot streak. They have won their last three games in a row including a sweep of the UNBC Timberwolves last weekend in Prince George.

These teams met earlier in the season in Abbotsford. TRU picked up the 69-63 win on Friday night thanks in large part to 24 points and 14 rebounds from Brad King before the Cascades toppled the 'Pack 81-75 on Saturday.

3 Things

1: Fans 12-and-over attending the games will be required to show proof of full vaccination. Per provincial guidelines attendance will be limited to 50 per cent capacity.

2: Playing after the men, the WolfPack women will be hosting their annual Shoot for the Cure fundraiser. Portions of the proceeds of each ticket sold will go towards breast cancer research. Fans can also donate in-person at the game or at: gowolfpack.ca/stfc

3: TRU students get into the games for free and the first 200 students through the door will receive a free t-shirt.
