Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – Another season is just around the corner for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's soccer team that continues to improve year after year. With a young roster full of potential, the 'Pack will be aiming to make some noise in an incredibly competitive Pacific Division.
Starting the season at home, the WolfPack will welcome the Calgary Dinos to Hillside Stadium on Saturday before the UNBC Timberwolves come to town on Sunday with both games taking place at noon.
Getting things underway against the Dinos on Saturday, the 'Pack will welcome a Calgary squad that is a perennial contender for the Canada West crown. Calgary was picked to finish fourth in the annual Coaches Poll with the WolfPack coming in 11th. TRU has played the Dinos incredibly closely in their short history together however, with the two teams tying a pair of games in the 2019 season.
Up next for the 'Pack is a Timberwolves side that TRU is always very evenly matched with. The two teams hold a mirror image 2-2-2 record against each other in their last six matches, with TRU picking up a victory on the final day of the 2021 season against UNBC in their last action.
The WolfPack will return many of the key pieces that led the way last season while also welcoming a recruiting class that is bursting at the seams with potential.

One of the most prolific players in program history,
Camryn Curts will put a wrap on an outstanding WolfPack career this season when she plays out her fifth and final year of eligibility.
Already the program leader in career Canada West: points (13), assists (7) and shots (98), the product of Courtney, B.C. will hope to end her time with the 'Pack by helping the program secure a second-ever Canada West playoff berth.
A powerful runner with the ball, Curts will be the engine that drives the WolfPack in attack as the team looks to build upon a promising 2021 campaign with the addition of ten new players.
