Weekend Story

KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team will look to get things back on track this weekend as they are set to host their final home weekend of 2023.

TRU (1-3) will welcome the Regina Cougars (2-0) to the TCC for games on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. with some special guests in attendance on Friday.

The 'Pack will be trying to get back to the .500 mark on the season after a difficult weekend in Brandon saw them drop a pair of extremely close contests. TRU fell 83-76 on Friday and then 85-84 in overtime on Saturday.

After starting their season with a bye, Regina went on the road last weekend and earned a pair of victories over the Trinity Western Spartans. Winning by double-digits both nights, the Cougars took down TWU by scores of 87-74 and 81-65.

The last time these teams met in CW play was 2018-19 but the Cougars did take an exhibition match between the two in 2022.
