Harrison also finished the night with 11 rebounds for the double-double.
  • David Mutabazi was a star for TWU, finishing with 34 points and 13 rebounds while going 12-22 from the field. Josh Belvin added 21and Marcus Shankar 17 while Connor Platz had 11 board and four blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Q1: A 38.9 – 28.6 edge in shooting percentage for the visitors allowed TWU to take a slim 20-15 lead through the opening ten minutes. Belvin and Crossfield each had seven points for their respective squads.
  • Q2: TRU dominated the second frame. The 'Pack shot 63 per cent from the floor and scored 38 points to carry a 53-36 advantage into the halftime break. Bost had 10 points in the quarter and Smith eight to carry TRU.
  • Q3: The Spartans found their own shooting groove in the third and managed to significantly cut into the WolfPack lead. TWU scored 25 points in the frame while out-rebounding TRU 10-3 to shrink the lead to 11 points heading into the fourth.
  • Q4: A resilient Spartan squad completed the comeback in the fourth. A 21-8 TWU run though opening portion of the quarter saw the teams tied at 82-82 with just over four minutes left to play. From there Mutabazi scored seven points down the stretch to secure the victory.

  • A crowd of well over 600 packed inside the TCC to try and will TRU to victory.

UP NEXT

QUOTABLE

  • "That's why you have to play for 40 minutes. I thought our guys did a really good job in the first half of competing and I thought the pace of play in the first half was the way we wanted it, it was a grind it out game. They made some adjustments so credit to them, the played well in the second half but we certainly feel like we let that one get away on us."
  • "The ball was moving offensively, we were playing from the inside out – finding open shooters on the perimeter and getting high quality threes. In the second half the ball really started to stick, we didn't continue to attack the paint and we got pretty passive and struggled to score because of that." - WolfPack head coach Chad Jacobson.
