Weekend Story
 
KAMLOOPS – Looking to close out their season with a bang, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team will host the division-leading Manitoba Bisons inside the TCC this weekend.

Taking place at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday inside the TCC, the games will be pit a 5-13 WolfPack squad against the 16-2 Bisons. With the Canada West postseason just out of the reach for the 'Pack, they will nonetheless be looking to cause a stir in defeating a nationally-ranked Manitoba team.
 
The WolfPack battled tough on the road last weekend, playing a pair of close matches with the UNBC Timberwolves but were unable to bring  a win back to Kamloops. The 'Pack led 58-54 going into the fourth quarter of Saturday's game but couldn't stymie a TWolves comeback.
 
Manitoba meanwhile, enters the weekend after suffering just their second loss – and first since November – of the season. The Bisons split a pair of games with their crosstown rivals in the form of the Winnipeg Wesmen. Winnipeg picked up the 89-80 victory Friday before Manitoba rebounded Saturday with a 71-61 effort.
  
In the last five regular season games these teams have played dating back to 2014 the 'Pack are 2-3 against Manitoba.
